The experience
What a gathering is like
A retreat, a circle, an evening around a fire. Different container, same purpose: a space where you are seen and accepted as you are.
The container
Clear principles make honest vulnerability possible.
These hold every circle, so that what you share is respected and no one has to manage anyone’s perception, including their own.
- What’s shared here stays here.
- You’re always welcome to tell your own story afterward, never anyone else’s.
- No one’s here to fix you.
- We listen, reflect, and witness. We don’t rescue, advise, or diagnose.
- No one outranks you.
- Facilitators hold the space; they don’t stand above it.
- Your boundaries are yours.
- Participation is invited, never forced. You can opt out of any activity that doesn’t feel right in the moment.
- Phones go quiet.
- Bring a journal instead. Being fully here is most of the work.
- Every man is welcome.
- Brothers of every background, story, and walk of life, held with the same respect.
What a day might hold
- Morning movement or meditation
- Sharing in circle
- Personal reflection
- Meals together
- Time in nature
The shape of the days
Responsive, not scripted.
Every retreat, and every day within it, takes its own shape depending on the group and what’s moving through it, so there’s no fixed schedule we can hand you in advance.
Most days include some combination of morning movement or meditation, group sharing, personal reflection time, meals together, and time in nature. Some days lean more structured; others leave more room to breathe. There’s downtime built in, so it’s never wall-to-wall intensity.
Our retreats build in an on-ramp rather than throwing you into the deep end. No one is pushed past what they can handle on day one.
The land
Heram Al Noor
Gatherings are held at Heram Al Noor, a retreat center about 15 minutes outside Wimberley, in the Texas Hill Country. Between sessions there are hikes, the hot tub, and long stretches of quiet in nature.
Feel the pull?
Tell us a little about where you are. We’ll share what we know about the next gathering and answer anything you want to ask before you decide.
